Hey YAY!!
I placed 1st in the Iowa Mountain Bike Series for Cat 2 (Sport) Women !!
That is very exciting to me. The truth of it is though that I didn’t get 1st because I actually won so many of the races, but b/c I kept showing up and racing so I kept getting some points. However, if I had not placed where I did in those races I might not have gotten enough points for 1st either, so I don’t want to completely downgrade my accomplishment.
In my case this year it definitely paid to be persistent and keep on trying!!
Already looking forward to next year

Karmen – congratulations on one outstanding season. Showing up to race is the most important part of any event. The rest is just fun and working hard. Your commitment and training were nicely rewarded.
What a great trip on the mountain bike. And now, riding for fun and making plans for another season.

Karmen – Great to see you a couple weeks ago and catch up! Your blog is fantastic and I’ve loved the pictures. CONGRATULATIONS on the 1st place finish!! Hey, most of life is about gettin’ up, showin’ up and doin’ your best. Sounds like you did that plus more – way to go!! You go girl!
